Wood backgrounds by nature have a rough texture. The best way to make overlays and word art (in other words embellishments that do not need shadows) look like they have been stamped on wood, is to distress them with these brushes. Although designed specifically to go with the Homespun Christmas Collection Biggie, they can be used to rough-up flat embellishments on any backgrounds.
