Reminiscent of the worn leathers, gilded intaglio engravings and marbled end papers of antique books, Intaglio is a digital scrapbooking kit full of beautiful products that will help you make elegant layouts for a variety of occasions. Book spines and corners in black and burgundy leather are provided as embellishments, so that you may give any page the look of an antique book cover. The marbled papers in this collection will enhance a variety of photos: during the design process, Kerry tested the papers with both black and white photos and sepia photos as well as muted color photos to make sure that the tonal balance would enhance all types of photos, creating a flexible and artistic collection for you to use with your photos from the past and present.
Digital scrapbooking elements in Intaglio include:
- Five gilt-edged frames, including clipping shapes in PSD files as well as PNGs for your convenience: a narrow oval, a wide oval, a rectangle, a round, and a square. These frames work well for journaling, also. Just “clip” a background paper to the clipping shape, and then type your words on the layer above the background paper.
- Two x-connectors in the same gilt edging as the frames, to connect elements on your pages
- Seven antique gold calligraphic swirls in a variety of shapes and sizes. Some are provided in both “left” and “right” versions to design a cluster to use behind photos and journaling. Be sure to use both the left and right sides on your pages, instead of just using the right or left and flipping it in your software. The left and right sides have different widths of calligraphy and the lighting and shadows are different on each one, to give the swirls the appearance of real engraving on your pages.
- A vintage velvet flower with leaves in shades of brown
- A small antique painting of a rose as well as the image of a real pressed rose
- Two gilded floral leafy borders
- Two sets of photo corners, one in antique gold, and one in silver with gold pieces on them. All four corners are provided for each set, with different lighting and shadows for each of the pieces, so they will look realistic on your pages.
- An antique rectangular linen doily with crocheted edges. (For a unique look, place a photo over it and use the “multiply” blending mode on the photo)
- A floral border of hand-dyed lace in deep purple-burgundy and green. Two flowers from the border are included as separate embellishments as well.
- An antique watch face
- A length of antique seam-binding ribbon in a rich copper color
- Book spines and corners to give any paper the look of an antique book cover, in two colors, weathered charcoal and burgundy, both with gold engraving
- Two gilded leafy corner embellishments
Word art is large enough to use as a page topper and is in a flowing script in an antique gold finish. Papers are made from a rich mix of marbled end papers from antique books enhanced by Kerry’s digital artistry.
